Question
I want to create a formulation with different textures.
- How can I achieve a clear gel texture similar to the image?
- How can I achieve a pudding-like texture?
- Can I use DMDM hydantoin as a preservative? Is there a safer alternative?
Answer
Based on the staff's reply, the texture in the image is similar to the clear gel texture obtained when using Pro Polymer (Acrylate Crosspolymer) at a concentration of 0.5-1.0%.
For a pudding-like texture, a concentration of 3-4% of Pro Polymer is recommended.
The staff also recommended using Mild Preserved Eco at 1% as a preservative, as it is considered safer than DMDM hydantoin.
