Answer

Foot Deodorizing Powder Formula Adaptation

To create a foot deodorizing powder from the dry shampoo formula, you should focus on the absorbent and deodorizing ingredients and remove the ingredient specific to hair care.

Ingredients:

  1. Rice Starch (such as RiceSorb™): This will be the main base of your powder. Rice starch is excellent at absorbing moisture (sweat) and oil, helping to keep feet dry and uncomfortable for odor-causing bacteria.
  2. DeoMax™ Powder: This ingredient, derived from Japanese persimmons, is effective against various odors, including foot odor. It works by deodorizing volatile compounds and can also inhibit odor-causing bacteria.
  3. Odor-Kill™: This modified Maltodextrin helps absorb odors from ingredients and can also absorb body odor, including foot odor.

Ingredient to Remove:

  • Cetrimonium Chloride: This ingredient is primarily used in hair products for antistatic and conditioning properties. It is not necessary for a foot powder and should be omitted.

Suggested Formula Structure:

You can adjust the percentages based on the desired level of absorption and deodorizing power. A good starting point could be:

  • Rice Starch (e.g., RiceSorb™): 85-90%
  • DeoMax™ Powder: 5-10%
  • Odor-Kill™: 1-5%

  • Optional:* You can add a small amount (0.1-0.5%) of a skin-safe essential oil known for its refreshing or antimicrobial properties, such as peppermint or tea tree oil, for added benefit and scent. If adding an oil, reduce the starch percentage accordingly.

How to Make:

Simply weigh out the desired percentages of each powder ingredient and mix them thoroughly until evenly combined. If adding an optional essential oil, blend it into a small portion of the starch first before mixing with the rest of the powders to ensure even distribution.

This adapted formula will provide a powder that helps absorb sweat and neutralize foot odor effectively.
