Question
I have an aloe vera gel base that already contains many ingredients. Can I add `Lemon Peel bioferment` and `Soy Isoflavones` to it? If so, what is the mixing procedure?
Answer
Based on the staff's response:
Regarding adding Lemon Peel Bioferment and Isoflavone to your aloe vera gel base:
- The staff noted that the list of ingredients you already plan to include is quite extensive. They strongly advise against adding more ingredients, as this could make the formulation overly complex and potentially uncomfortable on the skin.
- However, if you choose to add them:
- Lemon Peel Bioferment is a liquid, so it should mix in easily with some shaking.
- For Isoflavone (assuming it's Soy Isoflavones), if your gel has been refrigerated, let it come to room temperature first before adding. You can then mix or stir it in, and it should combine.
- The staff did not recommend specific percentages for these two ingredients, reiterating their advice that adding more is not recommended due to the existing ingredient load.
