Adding Moringa Oil to Liquid Soap for Clarity

Adding oils like Moringa Oil to a clear liquid soap base can make it cloudy because oils are not water-soluble. There isn't a fixed maximum percentage that guarantees clarity, as it depends on the specific soap base and whether a solubilizer is used.

To help incorporate the oil and maintain clarity, you typically need to add a solubilizer, such as Polysorbate 20, 60, or 80. The amount of solubilizer needed depends on the amount of oil you add and the specific solubilizer. A common ratio is 1:1 or 2:1 (solubilizer to oil), but testing is required.

Even with a solubilizer, adding a high percentage of oil (e.g., above 2-3%) can still be challenging to keep perfectly clear and might affect the lather and stability of the liquid soap.

It's best to start with a low percentage of Moringa Oil (e.g., 0.5% to 2%) and use a suitable solubilizer, testing small batches to achieve the desired clarity and performance.
