Adding Vitamin B6 and Rose Water to Essence Formula

Question

I have an essence formula and would like to make some modifications.

1. Can I add `Vitamin B6` to this formula? Will it be compatible with the other ingredients?
2. In this formula, can I use `Rose Water` to replace `distilled water`?

Previously, I tried a version of this formula which did not cause irritation or clogging, but it lacked sufficient hydration and visible results on texture, pores, and whitening.

Answer

Hello,

Regarding your questions about the essence formula:

  • Adding Vitamin B6: Yes, you can add Vitamin B6 to this formula. It is water-soluble and compatible with the other ingredients. Vitamin B6 can help with oil balance and may improve the appearance of pores. Please note that Vitamin B6 is most effective at a pH of 2-6, and your formula's pH is likely higher than that.

  • Using Rose Water: Yes, you can use Rose Water to replace distilled water in this formula.

Your formula contains a good range of active ingredients targeting wrinkles, firmness, and hydration. You mentioned that the previous version of this formula did not cause irritation or clogging but lacked sufficient hydration and visible results on texture/pores/whitening.

As discussed previously, the high concentration of active ingredients (around 57.2% + any added Vitamin B6) in a watery base might limit absorption and the feeling of hydration. Achieving significant hydration and related improvements (like pore appearance) might still require supplementing with a separate moisturizer or considering a formula type that provides better hydration, such as a light cream.

In summary, adding Vitamin B6 and using Rose Water are compatible with your current formula base.

Thank you.
