Adding Vitamin B6 to Cream Formula and Adjusting Texture

Question

I would like to add Vitamin B6 to my cream formula to help tighten pores. I understand from the staff's previous response that Vitamin B6 is an electrolyte, similar to Azelaic Acid, which can cause the formula to become more liquid.

Therefore, if I wish to add Vitamin B6 to the formula, how should I adjust the formula and mixing steps to maintain the desired cream texture? I am working with a formula based on the staff's second recommendation (for treating melasma, freckles, and reducing oiliness).

Answer

Hello,

I understand you would like to add Vitamin B6 to your cream formula to help tighten pores. As the staff mentioned previously, Vitamin B6 is also an electrolyte, similar to Azelaic Acid, which can cause the formula to become more liquid.

Therefore, if you wish to add Vitamin B6 to the formula, you will need to increase the amount of Satin Cream Maker to achieve the desired cream texture.

Here is a revised formula based on the staff's second recommendation (for treating melasma, freckles, and reducing oiliness), including Vitamin B6 and an adjusted amount of Satin Cream Maker:

  • Tranexamic Acid 3%
  • Azelaic Acid (Liquid Azelaic) 5%
  • Safe-B3 5%
  • MSM 3%
  • Zinc PCA 1%
  • Sym-White 0.5%
  • lipid soft Lite 5%
  • Satin Cream Maker 2.5% (Increased from 1.5%)
  • PE-1 Aqua 1.5%
  • 1,2-Hexanediol 3%
  • Vitamin B6 1% (Added)
  • Water remaining (approximately 68.5%)

Important Mixing Steps:

Please follow the mixing steps the staff previously recommended, especially for adding electrolyte ingredients (Azelaic Acid, Zinc PCA, and Vitamin B6) and Satin Cream Maker.

  1. Mix the water phase ingredients together (Tranexamic Acid, Safe-B3, MSM, 1,2-Hexanediol, Water).
  2. Add Satin Cream Maker and blend or stir at high speed until a smooth gel is formed.
  3. Add the oil phase ingredients (lipid soft Lite, PE-1 Aqua) and mix until a cream is formed.
  4. Gradually add Azelaic Acid, Zinc PCA, and Vitamin B6 little by little into the cream while continuously blending at high speed to help stabilize and thicken the formula.
  5. If the formula is still too liquid, you can consider adding an additional 0.5-1.0% of Satin Cream Maker. Add it gradually while blending at high speed.

This formula will help with melasma, freckles, reducing oiliness, and includes Vitamin B6 to help tighten pores.

Would you like me to proceed with this revised formula, or do you have any further questions?
