Question

I would like to ask if I can add the following ingredients to the adjusted cream gel formula for acne and brightening that the staff provided:

  • Azelaic Acid 10%
  • Encapsulated Salicylic Acid 6.6%

Answer

Based on the conversation with the staff, here is the adjusted formula they recommended for your acne and brightening cream gel, along with their advice:

Recommended Formula:

  • nano silver pure 1%
  • Glycosaminoglycans Complex 3%
  • Resveratrol long max 3%
  • Aloe Vera Extract 3%
  • Willow Bark Extract 10%
  • Alpha Arbutin 2%
  • Double Hyaluron Liquid 1%
  • Mild Preserved Eco 1%
  • Satin Cream Maker 1.5%
  • Water 87-88%

The staff removed Evening Primrose Oil from the original formula because using direct oils is generally not recommended for skin prone to clogged pores. They also added Mild Preserved Eco (preservative) and Satin Cream Maker (emulsifier/thickener) to create the gel-cream texture.

Regarding your question about adding Azelaic Acid and Encapsulated Salicylic Acid, the staff advised against adding them for now. They recommend trying the adjusted formula above for one month and then re-evaluating the level of clogged pores. The Willow Bark Extract in the formula already helps with reducing clogged pores to some extent.

Mixing Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients except Resveratrol long max and Mild Preserved Eco into the water.
  2. Stir or blend until well combined.
  3. Add Satin Cream Maker and continue stirring or blending until a gel-cream texture forms.
  4. Add Resveratrol long max and Mild Preserved Eco into the gel-cream base.
  5. Blend or stir until fully incorporated.
