Adjusted Toner Formula for Pore Reduction

Based on your current formula and goals, here is a proposed adjusted toner formula, including an ingredient for pore reduction and a preservative:

Ingredient Notes

• Complex Salicylic Acid: This water-soluble form helps with exfoliation and clearing pores. Using 5% provides the maximum allowed 2% active Salicylic Acid in a leave-on product.
• PoreNin™: This ingredient is specifically included to help tighten the appearance of pores.
• Phenoxyethanol SA: This is a broad-spectrum preservative recommended by the staff to protect your product from microbial growth.
• White Tea Extract: As the staff mentioned, this is not available at MySkinRecipes.

Mixing Instructions

1. In a clean container, measure out the Water.
2. Add Disodium EDTA to the water and stir until it is completely dissolved.
3. Add Complex Salicylic Acid, Safe-B3™ (Vitamin B3, Niacinamide), and Panthenol (Vitamin B5, DL-Panthenol, Powder) to the water phase. Stir well until all powders are fully dissolved. You can gently warm the mixture (below 60°C) if needed to aid dissolution, but avoid prolonged heating.
4. Add PoreNin™ (Natural Extracted Tannic Acid) to the water phase and stir until dissolved. Ensure the mixture is not hot when adding PoreNin™.
5. Allow the mixture to cool down to below 40°C.
6. Add Hi-EGCG™ (Green Tea Extract) and stir to combine.
7. Add Phenoxyethanol SA (eq. Optiphen Plus) and stir thoroughly.
8. Check the pH of the toner. The ideal pH range for this formula is typically between 4.0 and 6.0. Adjust with a suitable pH adjuster if necessary.
9. Make sure the total weight is 100% by adding a small amount of extra water if needed.
10. Package the toner in a suitable container, preferably opaque to protect light-sensitive ingredients.
