Adjusting Facial Cream Formulation: Texture and Active Ingredients

Question

I am formulating a facial cream and need advice on two aspects:

  1. What percentages of Luxury Cream Maker and Powder Cream should I use to achieve a smooth, dry, velvety texture?
  2. Are the current percentages of active ingredients (Repair Activator 5%, Vitamin B3 3%, n-acetyl glucosamine 3%) sufficient for daily use (1-2 times/day)? Can I increase them for better efficacy, and if so, what are the recommended maximum percentages?

Feedback on Facial Cream Formulation

Based on the staff's recommendations regarding your facial cream formulation:

  1. Regarding the percentages of Luxury Cream Maker and Powder Cream for desired texture:

    • Luxury Cream Maker is primarily for thickening the cream, not directly for skin feel. The staff suggests starting with 3-4% to achieve a thicker consistency.
    • For a smooth, dry, and velvety skin feel, the staff recommends starting PowderCream at 3%. Increasing the percentage of PowderCream will result in a drier, more powdery texture.
  2. Regarding the sufficiency of the active ingredient percentages (Repair Activator 5%, Vitamin B3 3%, n-acetyl glucosamine 3%) for daily use:

    • The staff suggests that if you want to enhance efficacy without significantly increasing cost, you can increase Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) to 5%.
    • If cost is not a primary concern, the staff also recommends increasing Repair Activator to 10%.
    • The staff did not suggest changing the percentage of n-acetyl glucosamine or adding other ingredients based on the current formulation and goals.
