Question

I have a Super Anti Aging Serum formula and would like recommendations for optimization. The formula I am currently using is as follows (for 100g):

  • Distilled Water: 51g
  • Phospholipid: 2g
  • Pro Polymer: 0.8g
  • Phenoxyethanol: 0.5g
  • Matrixyl 3000: 5g
  • Ceramide: 10g
  • Safe B3: 10g
  • beta glucan: 10g
  • Bifida Ferment Lysate: 10g

Could you please provide suggestions to improve its anti-aging effectiveness, considering my normal skin type and history of sun exposure?

Answer

Based on the staff's recommendations for your Super Anti Aging Serum formula (100g):

  • Reduce:
    • Ceramide: Reduce from 10g to 5g (or 5%). The staff notes that using a very high amount may not significantly increase efficacy compared to the cost.
    • Beta Glucan: Reduce from 10g to 5g (or 5%). Similar to Ceramide, reducing the amount is suggested for cost-effectiveness without losing significant benefits.
  • Add:
    • Ingredients to promote skin cell turnover: Choose one or two from the following options to help strengthen the skin, especially given your history of sun exposure:
      • Willow Bark Extract: 5%
      • Pumpkin Renew: 5%
      • Yeast Resurface: 3%
      • FruitPeel™: 5%
      • Japanese Cedar: 1%
    • Reservoir-Tech: Add 3%. This ingredient helps to retain active ingredients within the skin for a longer-lasting effect.

These adjustments are suggested to enhance the anti-aging benefits and help strengthen your skin, taking into account your normal skin type and goal of improving skin resilience against factors like sun exposure.
