Question

Why does Lauryl Glucoside appear cloudy, viscous, or solid (like wax) at cold temperatures, and is this normal or a product defect?

Answer

Lauryl Glucoside Appearance in Cold Temperatures

It is completely normal for Lauryl Glucoside to appear cloudy, viscous, or even solidified (like wax) at cooler temperatures. This is due to its high concentration and chemical properties.

As mentioned in the previous reply, warming the product slightly (to around 50-60°C) will return it to a clear, liquid state. Once incorporated into a formulation with water, it will remain liquid and function as expected.

So, the appearance you observed is not a defect but a characteristic of concentrated Lauryl Glucoside when stored in cool conditions.
