Choosing a Preservative for Toner with Multiple Extracts

The best preservative for your toner formula containing multiple extracts depends primarily on the final pH of your formula. Different preservatives are effective within specific pH ranges.

Without knowing the exact pH of your toner, it is challenging to recommend a single best option. However, based on the properties of some available preservatives:

• Mild Preserved Eco™ and Mild Preserved CGZ™ are effective in formulas with a pH between 4 and 9.
• Global Guard™ 221 is suitable for formulas with a pH between 2 and 7.
