Question

I would like to inquire about Citromask.

  • If I dissolve Citromask 1g in Ethanol (100%) 3g and then add it to wound cleaning alcohol 96g, will the Citromask dissolve in this formula?
  • The website does not specify the expiry date for Citromask. If I order now, by what date should it be used? Does it need to be stored in the refrigerator?
  • Can Citromask be used to prevent shoe odor? If so, how should it be used?

Answer

Here are the answers to your questions based on the staff's replies:

  • Mixing Citromask with wound cleaning alcohol: The staff is unsure if Citromask will dissolve properly in 70% wound cleaning alcohol due to its water content. They recommend performing a test: if the mixture remains clear, it is compatible. If it becomes cloudy or separates, a higher concentration of ethanol should be used.
  • Preventing shoe odor with Citromask: Citromask is effective until it evaporates, which is typically around 5 days. Using it on insoles before odor develops should help prevent odor during this period. A Fixative can be added to the formula to extend its duration.
  • Specific formula (1g Citromask + 3g 100% ethanol + 96g wound cleaning alcohol): The staff cannot confirm if this specific mixture will dissolve properly and recommends performing a test.
  • Shelf life and storage of Citromask: Fragrance products like Citromask do not have a strict expiry date. The company regularly re-tests its stock. For optimal longevity, it is recommended to store the product in a cool environment, such as an air-conditioned room (15-20°C).
