Cleansing Balm Formulation

A cleansing balm is an oil-based cleanser that effectively removes makeup, sunscreen, and impurities from the skin. It works by melting into an oil upon contact with the skin, dissolving oil-soluble substances. When water is added, the balm emulsifies, allowing it to be easily rinsed away without leaving a greasy residue.

While a complete formulation with specific percentages is not available, we have found two ready-made cleansing balm bases that can be customized:

1. Cleansing Balm (Colorless, Fragrance-Free) (Product ID: 31507)

   • This base has a harder texture.
   • Key ingredients (INCI Name): Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate, Polyethylene, Peg-5 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Water, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol.

2. Cleansing Balm (Soft, Colorless, Fragrance-Free) (Compare to Elemis) (Product ID: 33477)

   • This base has a softer texture, similar to Elemis.
   • Key ingredients (INCI Name): Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides, PEG-8 BEESWAX, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Stearate, Silica, Butyrospermum Parkii, Glycerin, Lecithin, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopherol.

Both bases are colorless and fragrance-free, allowing you to add your preferred fragrance, color, or other beneficial skincare ingredients as desired.

These ready-made bases provide a convenient starting point for creating your own customized cleansing balm.
