Question

I am developing an anti-cellulite body cream and would like to combine the following ingredients:

  • Methylsilanol Mannuronate
  • L-Carnitine
  • Slim-Coffee

Could you please advise on the following:

  1. Can these three ingredients be used together in the same formula?
  2. What is the optimal ratio for combining these ingredients to achieve the best anti-cellulite results?
  3. How do these ingredients compare in terms of effectiveness for reducing cellulite or orange peel skin, and is combining them significantly better than using them individually?

Answer

Hello,\n\nRegarding your question about combining Methylsilanol Mannuronate, L Carnitine, and Slim Coffee in an anti-cellulite body cream:\n\nYes, these three ingredients can be combined in a single formula.\n\nWhile these ingredients are supported by research for their anti-cellulite efficacy and are recognized by the FDA for making such claims, our internal testing (using L-Carnitine 3% + Slim-Coffee 3% for 4 weeks on 4 subjects) showed limited effectiveness in reducing cellulite. The test did not observe a significant change in the appearance or level of cellulite or orange peel skin.\n\nWe have not conducted internal testing on Methylsilanol Mannuronate.\n\nBased on our testing results which showed limited cellulite reduction, we cannot provide an optimal ratio for the combination to achieve significant results, nor can we confirm if combining them is significantly better than using them individually for cellulite reduction.\n\Similarly, based on our testing, we cannot rank the effectiveness of these ingredients for cellulite reduction as significant results were not observed.\n\nOther benefits were noted in our test, such as slight skin firming and improved skin appearance in some users.\n\nThank you.
