Question

I am formulating a Water-in-Oil cream and want to use Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) as a sunscreen agent.

  • Is Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) compatible with Water-Capsule™?
  • If so, what is the correct procedure for incorporating Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) into the W/O cream formulation using Water-Capsule™? Specifically, should it be mixed into the water phase or the oil phase?
  • Is Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) compatible with Water in Oil EZ?

Answer

Yes, Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) is compatible with Water-Capsule™. While it is not compatible with Water in Oil EZ, it can be used with Water-Capsule™.

When formulating a water-in-oil cream using Water-Capsule™, sunscreens like Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) should be mixed into the oil phase before combining the oil phase with the water phase.
