Question

I would like to create a cream formula for anti-aging and whitening for normal to dry skin. Below is my proposed formula and mixing procedure. Could you please review it and provide feedback or suggestions?

Formula:

  1. Pitera 50%
  2. Wrinkle Fill 1%
  3. Safe B3 5%
  4. Vitamin B6 3%
  5. Apple Stem Cell 3%
  6. Cell Energy 2%
  7. Alpha Arbutin (swiss) 2%
  8. distilled water 33%
  9. Luxury Cream Maker 1%

Mixing Procedure:

Mix ingredients 1-7 together at room temperature, measure pH (not exceeding 6). Then add Luxury Cream Maker and stir until combined.

Answer

Regarding your anti-aging and whitening cream formula:

Based on your proposed formula and skin type (normal to dry), the staff has provided feedback and suggestions.

Mixing Procedure:
The staff recommends a different mixing procedure. Instead of mixing ingredients 1-7 first, you should:

  1. Mix Luxury Cream Maker with distilled water.
  2. Stir or blend until a cream texture is formed.
  3. Gradually add the other ingredients (Pitera, Wrinkle Fill, Safe B3, Apple Stem Cell, Cell Energy, Alpha Arbutin, Reservoir-Tech, Mild Preserved Eco) to the cream base and mix thoroughly until fully dissolved and incorporated.
You do not need to measure or adjust the pH, as the formula will naturally have a skin-compatible pH.

Mixing Method:
You can mix the formula by hand stirring. However, ensure you stir for a sufficient amount of time to ensure all ingredients are completely dissolved and blended into the cream base. Using a blender can help achieve a smoother texture faster, but it is not strictly necessary if you stir thoroughly.

Suggested Formula Modifications (for Normal to Dry Skin):
Based on your skin type, the staff recommends the following adjustments to your formula:

  • Remove: Vitamin B6 (as it is primarily beneficial for oily skin pore issues).
  • Add: Reservoir-Tech at 3% (to enhance formula effectiveness).
  • Increase: Luxury Cream Maker to at least 3% (the recommended usage range is 3-6%) to properly form a cream texture. Your original formula used 1%.
  • Add: A preservative, such as Mild Preserved Eco at 1%, to prevent microbial growth and ensure product safety.
  • Adjust: The percentage of distilled water to balance the total formula to 100%.

Revised Suggested Formula (Example using 3% Luxury Cream Maker):

  • Pitera: 50%
  • Wrinkle Fill: 1%
  • Safe B3: 5%
  • Apple Stem Cell: 3%
  • Cell Energy: 2%
  • Alpha Arbutin: 2%
  • Reservoir-Tech: 3%
  • Luxury Cream Maker: 3-6% (e.g., 3%)
  • Mild Preserved Eco: 1%
  • Distilled water: Balance to 100% (e.g., ~30% if using 3% Luxury Cream Maker)

These modifications are suggested to better suit normal to dry skin and improve the stability and efficacy of the cream.
