Question

I have two cream formulas and want to know if they are suitable for my combination skin which is dry around the eyes, prone to rashes/sensitivity, and has concerns about wrinkles and dark spots. Can these two formulas be mixed? Are they suitable for use around the eye area? I am also concerned about preservatives for my sensitive skin.

Answer

Hello,

Regarding the skincare cream formulas you've provided:

Both formulas can be mixed as proposed.

Based on your skin type (combination, dry around the eyes) and concerns (wrinkles, dark spots), these formulas are suitable for normal to slightly dry skin, which aligns with your description. The ingredients selected address concerns like wrinkles, skin tone, and barrier support.

For your sensitive skin and tendency for rashes, it's important to identify and avoid triggers. While skincare can help strengthen the skin barrier and reduce the likelihood of irritation, severe cases may require medical treatment.

Important Adjustment: As recommended by the staff, for sensitive skin, please avoid using Phenoxyethanol as the preservative. Instead, it is recommended to use Mild Preserved Eco at 1% in your formulas.

These formulations, with the recommended preservative change, should be suitable for use around the eye area as well. However, due to your sensitivity, it is always advisable to perform a patch test first.
