Cream Texture and DMAE Compatibility in Formulation

Question

I tried formulating a cream using Satin Cream Maker and got a gel-like texture. I want a cream texture similar to whipped cream that is non-sticky and fast-absorbing. Which product should I use to achieve this? Also, I want to use DMAE and anti-aging peptides. Can you suggest a formula that includes these ingredients?

Answer

Hello,

Regarding your follow-up questions, here is a summary of the staff's responses:

  1. Whipped Cream Texture: The staff explained that a whipped cream texture similar to food is not achievable for cosmetic products because it relies on aeration which is only stable for a short period. Cosmetics require stability for 6-24 months.
  2. Using DMAE: The staff advised that DMAE is an electrolyte and is incompatible with Satin Cream Maker, potentially causing the cream to become thin or separate. If you still wish to use DMAE, you would need to switch to an emulsifier that can tolerate electrolytes, such as Butter Cream Maker. However, using this type of emulsifier requires a hot process during mixing, which is more complex than the cold process used with Satin Cream Maker.
