Question

My cream formulation became liquid after adding Azelaic Acid (Liquid Azelaic™).

What caused this, and how can I fix it?

Answer

Based on the information provided, the reason your cream mixture is too liquid is likely due to the Azelaic Acid (Liquid Azelaic™). The staff explained that Azelaic Acid acts as an electrolyte, which can cause the cream texture to weaken.

To fix this, the recommended solution is to add Pro Polymer. You can add 1% of Pro Polymer to your liquid mixture and stir or blend until it is completely dissolved. This should help thicken the cream. If it's still not thick enough, you can add a bit more.

Alternatively, you could try adding more Light Cream Maker™ (0.5-1.0%), but Pro Polymer is suggested as a better option in this case because it is more resistant to the effects of electrolytes like Azelaic Acid.
