Creating Foam with Hair Plex

To create a foam for a pump dispenser using your "Hair Plex" ingredient (Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate) and water, you will need to add a foaming agent, also known as a surfactant. The "Hair Plex" ingredient itself is a bond-building additive and does not produce foam.

Here are two suitable foaming agents you can consider adding:

• Creamy Foamer™ (Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate): This ingredient is a high-concentrate foam booster that provides a soft and smooth foam, suitable for hair cleansing products. It should be mixed into the water phase. The recommended usage rate is 10-15%, but you can use anywhere from 3% to 30% depending on how much foam you need. Gentle warming (up to 50°C) can help it dissolve.
• IseFoam™ (Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate): This is a gentle detergent that also creates good foam and is used in hair products. It can be mixed into water. The recommended usage rate is 1-15%.

How to Mix:

1. Combine your "Hair Plex" ingredient with water.
2. Add your chosen foaming agent (Creamy Foamer™ or IseFoam™) to the water and "Hair Plex" mixture.
3. Stir gently until fully dissolved and combined. For Creamy Foamer™, you might need slight warming.
4. Pour the mixture into your foaming pump bottle.

The exact percentage of the foaming agent may need to be adjusted based on your testing to achieve the desired foam consistency for your specific pump dispenser.
