DIY Underarm Cream Formula (Odor & Sweat Control)

Here is a formula for a DIY underarm cream designed to help control both sweat and odor, based on the suggestion provided, with an added ingredient for odor absorption. This formula aims to be gentle, but a patch test is always recommended for sensitive skin.

Formula:

• Water: 59.8% (adjust to 100% total)
• Anti-Sweat™ (Aluminum Chlorohydrate): 20% - Reduces sweat
• Butter Cream Maker: 3% - Emulsifier, creates cream texture
• Xanthan Gum: 0.20% - Thickener
• Cyclomethicone: 15% - Improves skin feel (smoothness)
• SmellSorb™ (Zinc Ricinoleate): 2% (Use 1-3% as preferred) - Absorbs odor

Instructions:

1. Water Phase: In a container, mix Water and Xanthan Gum until the Xanthan Gum is fully dissolved and a light gel forms. Then, add Anti-Sweat™ and stir until dissolved. Set aside.
2. Oil Phase: In a separate container, mix Butter Cream Maker, Cyclomethicone, and SmellSorb™ (Zinc Ricinoleate). Gently heat this mixture to approximately 70°C, stirring until all ingredients are melted and the mixture is clear.
3. Combine: Heat the Water Phase to a similar temperature (around 70°C). Slowly pour the heated Water Phase into the heated Oil Phase while continuously blending or stirring with a high-shear mixer or stick blender until a smooth, uniform cream forms.
4. Cool Down: Turn off the heat and continue blending at a lower speed until the cream cools down and thickens.
5. Once cooled, transfer the cream to a clean container.

Note: This formula uses Aluminum Chlorohydrate for sweat control. For sensitive skin, it's advisable to perform a patch test on a small area before applying to the entire underarm area. The addition of SmellSorb™ helps absorb odor.
