Question

I have questions about the product Double Hyaluron Liquid. I'd like to know:

  1. What is the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid in the 50g size?
  2. If I want my final formula to have 5% pure Hyaluronic Acid, how much Double Hyaluron Liquid product do I need to add?

Answer

Double Hyaluron Liquid Concentration

Regarding your questions about Double Hyaluron Liquid:

  1. Percentage of Hyaluronic Acid in 50g size: The Double Hyaluron Liquid product is formulated to contain 5% Hyaluronic Acid by weight, regardless of the size you purchase. So, a 50g size will still have a 5% concentration of Hyaluronic Acid. This means 50g of the product contains 2.5g of pure Hyaluronic Acid (5% of 50g).

  2. Amount needed for 5% Hyaluronic Acid in a formula: The Double Hyaluron Liquid product itself is a 5% solution of Hyaluronic Acid. To achieve a final formula that contains 5% pure Hyaluronic Acid using this product, you would theoretically need to use 100% of the Double Hyaluron Liquid in your formula. However, this is significantly higher than the typical recommended maximum usage rate for pure Hyaluronic Acid in a final cosmetic product, which is usually around 0.5%. The recommended usage rate for the Double Hyaluron Liquid product itself is 1-20% depending on skin type (e.g., 3-5% for normal skin, 5-10% for dry skin, 10-20% for very dry skin). Using 10% of the Double Hyaluron Liquid in your formula will result in a final concentration of 0.5% pure Hyaluronic Acid (10% of 5% = 0.5%), which is a common and effective concentration.
