Extract Storage and Cloudiness at Low Temperatures
Question
What is the recommended storage temperature for extracts, and what should be done if an extract becomes cloudy when stored at low temperatures?
Answer
Extract Storage
For long-term storage of extracts, keeping them in a refrigerator at 6-8°C is a suitable temperature and helps extend their shelf life. This is especially true for many extracts, such as Centella Asiatica Extract, which is recommended to be stored in a cool place at 0-10°C.
However, storage at relatively low temperatures can sometimes cause some extracts to become cloudy, which is normal. If cloudiness occurs, before use, it is recommended to take the extract out and leave it at room temperature for about 1-2 hours to allow it to become clear again before use.
This information is consistent with the guidance previously received.
