Question
I would like to request a review of my eye cream formula and ask for additional recommendations. The goal is to address dark circles, fine lines (for myself), and deeper wrinkles/sagging (for my mother).
My formula includes ingredients like Lift-Now, REGU-AGE, Grape Seed Oil, Glycerin, Pitera, and Matrixyl 3000.
Could you please advise on the following points:
- What kind of texture should I expect from this formula?
- Is using 3% Lift-Now appropriate, or is a lower concentration recommended?
- Do I need to adjust the pH for REGU-AGE to be effective?
- Are all the ingredients compatible with each other?
- Are there any suggestions for improving the formula's efficacy for dark circles, wrinkles, and sagging?
- When adding multiple ingredients in the final cool-down phase (e.g., Pitera and Matrixyl 3000), does the order of addition matter?

Subject: Re: Eye Cream Formula Review and Recommendations
Thank you for your question and for providing the staff's helpful response.
Based on the staff's feedback and your questions:
- Texture: The staff indicated the texture should be a cream, similar in consistency to Nivea blue tin. It should not be too liquid.
- Lift-Now 3%: The staff advises that 3% Lift-Now might cause excessive tightness. They recommend starting with 1% and using it only during the day, as it might feel uncomfortable at night. You can increase the percentage if 1% is not tight enough.
- REGU-AGE pH: The staff confirmed that your formula should have a slightly acidic pH suitable for REGU-AGE (pH 5-6.5), so pH adjustment is likely not necessary.
- Ingredient Compatibility: The staff found no incompatibilities among the ingredients in your formula. They did suggest modifications to improve efficacy for your specific concerns (dark circles, wrinkles, sagging) by reducing/removing Grape Seed Oil and Glycerin and adding Safe-B3™ (Vitamin B3) and Slim-Coffee™ (Caffeine).
- Order of adding ingredients in the final step: When multiple ingredients are instructed to be added in the final step (e.g., cool-down phase), the order generally does not matter unless specific instructions are given for a particular ingredient. You can typically add them one after another and mix thoroughly. For example, if both Pitera and Matrixyl 3000 are added at the end, you can add either one first, followed by the other, and then mix the cream well. Always check the specific usage instructions for each ingredient to be sure.
The staff's suggested revised formula seems well-suited to address both your and your mother's concerns regarding dark circles, fine lines, and deeper wrinkles.
