Feedback on Whitening & Nourishing Cream Formula
Question
I have formulated a whitening and nourishing cream and would like feedback on the formula. I want to know if the formula is viable, if the ingredients are suitable, and if I need to add more oil components.
My formula includes:
- Alpha Arbutin
- Aloe Vera Extract
- Licorice Extract
- Peptide (specifically Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 like Pep®-Coll)
- Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide like Safe-B3™)
- Natural Vitamin E mix tocopherols (such as Tocotrienols)
- Light Cream Maker
- Phenoxyethanol
- Water
Answer
Skincare Formula Feedback
Your proposed formula for a whitening and nourishing cream is viable and the ingredients you have chosen are suitable.
As discussed previously, the Natural Vitamin E (such as Tocotrienols) in your formula acts as an oil phase, and the Light Cream Maker will help emulsify and thicken the mixture to form a cream. You do not necessarily need to add more oil components unless you desire a richer texture.
All the ingredients you listed are suitable for use in this formulation:
- Alpha Arbutin
- Aloe Vera Extract
- Licorice Extract
- Peptide (specifically Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 like Pep®-Coll)
- Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide like Safe-B3™)
- Natural Vitamin E mix tocopherols (such as Tocotrienols)
- Light Cream Maker
- Phenoxyethanol
- Water
For enhanced whitening effects, you could consider adding N-acetyl glucosamine (such as GlucoBright™). It works synergistically with Vitamin B3 to help reduce hyperpigmentation and improve skin tone.
Remember to follow proper mixing instructions for each ingredient, especially regarding temperature and pH, to ensure the stability and effectiveness of your cream.
