Question

I made a cream formulation. After using it, my face feels dry, possibly because I included too many oil-reducing ingredients. Additionally, I added Geranium Oil, and the smell is too strong. How can I fix this existing batch of cream?

Answer

Regarding the dryness and strong smell in your cream formulation:

Based on the staff's advice:

  • For dryness: The dryness is likely due to too many oil-reducing ingredients. To fix the existing batch, you can add moisturizer ingredients, such as adding more Vitamin B5 (Panthenol) if you have it, or adding a small amount of oil if you are not prone to clogged pores.
  • For the strong Geranium Oil smell: The only way to reduce the strong smell is by diluting the cream. You can do this by adding more water or oil to the mixture. However, please note that this will also dilute the concentration of all other ingredients in the cream.
