Formula Adjustment: Changing Serum/Gel to Cream Texture

Question

I have the following formula:

  • Copper Peptide: 3%
  • Ceramide Complex: 10%
  • Repair Activator: 5%
  • Phenoxyethanol: 0.5%
  • WATER: 80%
  • Pro Polymer™: 1.5%

This formula currently gives a clear gel texture. I want to change it to a cream texture. Can I substitute Pro Polymer™ with Light Cream Maker™ at 1.5%? If so, what other adjustments are needed, specifically regarding adding oil (like Grape Seed Oil 5%) and reducing the water percentage (e.g., to 75%)?

Answer

Based on the forum thread you provided:

Here is the formula you shared:

  • Copper Peptide: 3%
  • Ceramide Complex: 10%
  • Repair Activator: 5%
  • Phenoxyethanol: 0.5%
  • WATER: 80%
  • Pro Polymer™: 1.5%

Regarding your question about changing Pro Polymer™ to Light Cream Maker™:

  • According to the replies in the thread, the difference is in the texture they provide. Pro Polymer™ gives a clear gel texture, while Light Cream Maker™ gives a cream texture.
  • It is also mentioned that Light Cream Maker™ requires the addition of oil to work properly. LipidSoft 3% is suggested as an option.
  • The thread confirms that substituting Pro Polymer™ with Light Cream Maker™ (1.5%) and adding Grape Seed Oil (5%), while reducing water to 75%, is possible.

Please note that according to the staff reply in the thread, Ceramide Complex is currently out of stock and expected to arrive around the end of the month.
