Formula Calculation for Preservative and Custom Mixing Service Inquiry

Question

I have the following formula:

  • Water: 80g
  • Satin Cream Maker: 0.5g
  • Copper Peptide: 3g
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: 10g
  • Mild Preserved Eco: 5g

Is 5g the correct amount for using Mild Preserved Eco at 1% in this formula? Also, does the company offer custom mixing services for formulas?

Answer

Regarding the formula amounts you proposed:

  • Water: 80g
  • Satin Cream Maker: 0.5g
  • Copper Peptide: 3g
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: 10g
  • Mild Preserved Eco: 5g

The amounts for Water, Satin Cream Maker, Copper Peptide, and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 seem to be based on your desired concentrations or amounts. However, the amount of Mild Preserved Eco (5g) is incorrect based on the staff's recommendation of 1%.

For a total formula weight of 98.5g (which is the sum of the amounts you listed: 80 + 0.5 + 3 + 10 + 5), 1% of the total weight would be 98.5g * 0.01 = 0.985g.

Using 5g of Mild Preserved Eco is significantly more than the recommended 1% and could potentially cause issues, as noted in the previous reply. You should use approximately 1g of Mild Preserved Eco for this formula size to follow the 1% recommendation.

Regarding whether the company can mix the formula for you, I do not have information about the company's services and cannot confirm if they offer custom mixing. Please contact MySkinRecipes directly to inquire about this service.
