I am formulating an anti-wrinkle and skin firming cream. I would like to use the following ingredients:

  • DMAE (SkinTight MD™)
  • Pep®-Coll (Syn-Coll)
  • Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) Ultra-Fine
  • Vitamin B3, Niacinamide (Safe-B3™)
  • Green Tea Extract (EGCG)
  • Lift-Now™
  • L-Tyrosine (Wrinkle-Fill™)
  • Pepha-Tight®
  • Hyaluronic Acid (Standard Molecule)

I need help determining the amount (in grams) for each ingredient for a 100g batch. How many grams of each should I include?

Subject: Re: Inquiry about anti-wrinkle and skin firming cream

Thank you for your question about formulating an anti-wrinkle and skin firming cream.

Based on the feedback you received from the staff:

  • Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) Ultra-Fine is not suitable for this specific formula.
  • Lift-Now™ and Pepha-Tight® perform similar functions, so it is recommended to choose only one of these ingredients for your formula.

Regarding Disodium EDTA, it is typically added to the water phase of a formulation to help chelate metal ions.

To proceed with developing your formula, you will need to:

  1. Research the recommended usage percentage for each of the remaining ingredients you wish to include (DMAE (SkinTight MD™), Pep®-Coll (Syn-Coll), Vitamin B3, Niacinamide (Safe-B3™), Green Tea Extract (EGCG), L-Tyrosine (Wrinkle-Fill™), either Lift-Now™ or Pepha-Tight®, Hyaluronic Acid (Standard Molecule), and Disodium EDTA). This information is usually available on the product detail pages.
  2. Once you have determined the desired usage percentage for each ingredient based on your research, calculate the corresponding weight in grams for a 100g batch.
  3. Propose your revised formula with the specific ingredients and their amounts in grams.

Please provide your revised formula once you have researched the recommended usage rates. We can then help review it further.
