Question
I am formulating a serum/lotion and plan to use the following ingredients:
- Japanese Cedar
- Rosa Hybrid Cell Extract
- Rose Water
- Panthenol/Vitamin B5
- Safe-B3™/Vitamin B3
- Reservoir-Tech
I have a few questions:
- Are Japanese Cedar and Rosa Hybrid Cell Extract compatible with the other ingredients (Rose Water, Panthenol/Vitamin B5, Safe-B3™/Vitamin B3) in the same formula?
- Reservoir-Tech is not water-soluble. How can I incorporate it into my formula?
- Can I use Light Cream Maker to help incorporate Reservoir-Tech, and what percentage is recommended?
- Do I need a blender to mix these ingredients, or is stirring sufficient?
Answer
Based on the staff's response, Japanese Cedar and Rosa Hybrid Cell Extract can be used together in your formulation. The other ingredients you listed (Rose Water, Panthenol/Vitamin B5, Safe-B3™/Vitamin B3) are also compatible.
As the staff mentioned, Reservoir-Tech is not water-soluble and requires an emulsifier. Adding Light Cream Maker at 1% will help incorporate Reservoir-Tech and thicken the formula.
You do not need a blender to mix the ingredients; stirring until dissolved is sufficient.
