Question
I am developing a facial product for oily, dehydrated skin with goals to tighten pores and brighten the complexion. I was considering using ingredients like Double Hyaluron Liquid, Perfect-C TransDerm (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate), and Light Cream Maker. Could you please recommend a suitable formula or review/adjust my ingredient choices for these specific skin concerns and type?
Answer
The user asked for a facial formulation for oily, dehydrated skin to tighten pores and brighten skin. They proposed a formula which was reviewed by staff. The staff recommended modifications to better suit oily skin and improve stability.
The recommended revised formula is as follows:
Water Phase:
- Distilled Water: Remaining percentage
- Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride): 3%
- Disodium EDTA: 0.2%
- N-Acetyl-D glucosamine (GlucoBright™): 4%
- Vitamin B3, Niacinamide (Safe-B3™): 2%
- Zinc PCA: 1%
- Mild Preserved™ (Ethylhexylglycerin): 1%
- Pro Polymer (Acrylate Crosspolymer): 1.5%
Oil Phase:
- Perfect-C TransDerm™ (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate): 10%
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in the water phase except Pro Polymer.
- Add Pro Polymer last and mix or blend until a gel forms. If the gel is too thin, add more Pro Polymer.
- Once a smooth, desired consistency gel is achieved, add Perfect-C TransDerm™ to the gel and mix until it becomes a cream.
