Facial Spray Formulation

• Suggested Base Adjustment: To incorporate Cyclomethicone into your water-based spray, you would need to use an emulsifier like SiliSolve™. A possible approach is to create a water-in-silicone emulsion. The general procedure involves mixing SiliSolve™ with the silicone phase (Cyclomethicone and potentially SiliSilk™ WO if using that type), and then gradually adding the water phase (water, Aloe Vera Extract, Glycerin, and the water-soluble peptides Matrixyl™ 3000, Argireline®, Lift-Now™) while continuously mixing until emulsified.

• Order of Addition: Water-soluble ingredients like Matrixyl™ 3000, Argireline®, Lift-Now™, Aloe Vera Extract, and Glycerin should be dissolved in the water phase. Cyclomethicone and SiliSilk™ WO (if using) should be in the silicone/oil phase with SiliSolve™. The water phase is then added slowly to the silicone phase with mixing.

• Final Note: Ensure the temperature is below 40°C when adding the peptides (Matrixyl™ 3000 and Argireline®).

Vitamin A in Natural Oil Formulation

Regarding mixing Vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) with natural oil for body massage:

• Solubility: Vitamin A Palmitate is oil-soluble, so it can be mixed with natural oils.
• Mixing Procedure: Vitamin A Palmitate is often stored in the refrigerator, where it can solidify or become semi-solid. Before mixing it with oil, you should allow it to warm up to room temperature until it becomes liquid. If it's still solid or very viscous, you can gently warm the Vitamin A Palmitate itself (not the bulk oil yet) in a warm water bath until it liquefies. Once liquid, you can mix it into your natural oil base. You do not necessarily need to heat the entire volume of natural oil, but ensuring both the Vitamin A and the oil are at a similar, slightly warm temperature (below 40°C) can help with easier and more uniform mixing.
• Protection: Vitamin A is sensitive to light and heat. Store the final oil mixture in an opaque bottle away from direct sunlight and heat to maintain its potency.
