Question
I have questions about two formulations:
Gel for oily skin, acne-prone skin, anti-aging, and skin brightening. The proposed ingredients are:
- Azelaic Acid
- Repair Activator
- Hyaluronic Acid nano
- L-Carnitine
- Distilled water
- Pro Polymer
- Phenoxyethanol
Sunscreen formulation. The proposed ingredients are:
- oil Free Titanium Dioxide Nano
- Centella Asiatica
Are these ingredients sufficient for a sunscreen formulation?
Answer
Hello,
Regarding your questions about the formulations and the ingredient "Dna":
Gel for oily/acne/anti-aging/brightening skin:
- You listed ingredients: Azelaic Acid, Repair Activator, Hyaluronic Acid nano, L-Carnitine, Distilled water, Pro Polymer, Phenoxyethanol.
- Staff feedback: For oily skin, adding Hyaluronic Acid nano for moisture is not necessary and should be removed.
Sunscreen:
- You listed ingredients: oil Free Titanium Dioxide Nano, Centella Asiatica, and asked if this is sufficient.
- Staff feedback:
- Oil Free Titanium Dioxide Nano needs to be diluted in silicone or cream, not used directly as it will be too thick.
- Adding more Titanium Dioxide does not continuously increase SPF.
- It is recommended to use Zinc Oxide along with Titanium Dioxide to cover the full UVA/UVB spectrum.
"Dna" ingredient:
- This was clarified to refer to Repair Activator.
Hope this helps!
