Gentle Cleansing Water Formulation

For sensitive, combination skin with dry cheeks, a gentle cleansing water can be formulated using mild surfactants.

A simple starting point, as suggested, is using Water as the base and adding Coco Wash™ (PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate). You can start with Coco Wash™ at a concentration of 10-15% and adjust based on the desired cleansing effectiveness. Coco Wash™ is a gentle, non-ionic surfactant derived from coconut oil that provides softness and smoothness to the skin.

For enhanced makeup removal while maintaining gentleness, you can also incorporate MakeUp-Wash™ (PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides). This ingredient forms micelles in water, effectively dissolving makeup and impurities without drying the skin. A common approach is to use a combination, such as 3-5% Coco Wash™ and 3-5% MakeUp-Wash™, with Water making up the rest of the formula.

To address the dry areas on your cheeks and provide hydration, you can add emollients like Glycerin or Butylene Glycol at 5-10%. These help to moisturize the skin.

Remember to always mix the surfactants into the water gently to avoid excessive foaming. Start with the suggested concentrations and adjust according to your skin's needs and the desired cleansing performance.
