Ingredients for Jelly Texture

• Sugar Gel: This ingredient is a sugar ester powder that creates a clear, translucent oil gel texture. It's edible and suitable for lip products. It requires a specific mixing process involving heating oil, glycerin, and water.
• Vaseline Petroleum Jelly (Transparent Gel): This is a classic ingredient (Petrolatum) that provides a clear, gel-like, and glossy texture. It can be used as a base at high percentages and maintains clarity.

Ingredients for Color Change

Ingredients that make lip balm change color typically react to the pH level of the skin. When applied to the lips, the change in pH causes the colorant molecule to change its structure, resulting in a visible color change.

• D&C Red 27 Color Changing Pigment (CI45410): This pigment changes color based on pH. It dissolves in oils and typically appears light orange when melted, changing to pink upon contact with the skin.
