Question
Based on my hair growth spray formula, I have the following questions:
- Does Melatonin Forte™ need Polysorbate 20 (Tween 20) to dissolve?
- If I remove Polysorbate 20, what will be the effect on the formula?
- Are there any suggestions for adjusting the formula, specifically regarding the use of Sea Kelp Extract and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ExtraLite™?
Answer
Regarding your hair growth spray formula:
- Melatonin Forte™ is oil-soluble and does not require Polysorbate 20 (Tween 20) to dissolve with water-soluble ingredients.
- If you remove Polysorbate 20, the formula might feel heavy on the hair.
- It is recommended to consider reducing the concentrations of both Sea Kelp Extract and Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ExtraLite™ by half for a more suitable consistency.
