Question
Can a Borosilicate glass beaker be heated directly on a stove or in a boiling water bath (100°C) to warm or melt ingredients without breaking?
Answer
Based on the previous reply from MySkinRecipes staff:
- The beaker is made of Borosilicate glass.
- It can withstand heat up to approximately 500 degrees Celsius.
- It can be placed directly on a stove.
Therefore, placing the beaker in boiling water (which is 100 degrees Celsius) in a pan to warm or melt ingredients should not cause the beaker to break, as this temperature is well below the beaker's heat resistance limit and it is designed to withstand direct heat.
