Answer
How to make cream using Sensitive Cream Maker™
Sensitive Cream Maker™ is an ECOCERT-certified creamy agent that is gentle on the skin. It can effectively emulsify oil in formulas ranging from 1-40% and works well across a broad pH range (4-9).
Here are the steps to use Sensitive Cream Maker™:
- Sensitive Cream Maker™ is a white/light yellow flake that needs to be melted with heat (around 70°C) until it becomes liquid.
- It can be mixed into either the water phase or the oil phase of your formulation.
- If mixing into the water phase:
- Gently stir Sensitive Cream Maker™ into the water phase until it is dispersed.
- Heat the water phase to 70°C.
- Heat the oil phase to a similar temperature (around 70°C).
- Add the heated oil phase to the heated water phase.
- Blend the mixture together.
- If mixing into the oil phase:
- Gently stir Sensitive Cream Maker™ into the oil phase until it is dispersed.
- Heat the oil phase to 70°C until the Sensitive Cream Maker™ melts completely.
- Heat the water phase to a similar temperature (around 70°C).
- Whisk the water phase.
- Gradually add the heated oil phase to the whisked water phase.
- Blend the mixture until a cream is formed.
Usage Rate: Use Sensitive Cream Maker™ at a rate of 0.5-5% of your total formula. The percentage you use will affect the thickness and weight of the resulting cream. A higher percentage allows for emulsifying more oil and results in a heavier/thicker texture.
