Answer
How to Make Hard Pearl Cream (Balm Type)
For pearl cream requiring a hard texture, it is often formulated as a balm, which is an anhydrous (water-free) formula. This helps achieve a thicker and harder consistency by using ingredients that build the balm structure in the oil phase and incorporating pearl powder for the pearlescent appearance.
Here is a basic sample formula for a hard pearl cream balm (100% formula):
Ingredients:
- Oil (e.g., Mineral Oil or other desired oils): 70%
- Oil Thick™ Hard: 10% (Helps create a hard texture in the oil phase)
- Pearl Powder (Pure, Fine, 200 Mesh): 20% (Provides the pearlescent appearance and skin benefits)
Instructions:
- Combine the oil and Oil Thick™ Hard in a heat-resistant container.
- Heat to approximately 80-90°C. Stir or mix until the Oil Thick™ Hard is fully dissolved and the mixture is clear and homogeneous.
- Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Add the Pearl Powder and stir or blend thoroughly to disperse the powder evenly throughout the balm base.
- Pour the mixture into your desired container while it is still liquid.
- Allow it to cool and solidify to obtain the hard pearl cream balm.
Important Notes:
- This formula is a basic example. You can adjust the type of oil or add other oil-soluble beneficial ingredients as needed.
- The hardness of the balm can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the amount of Oil Thick™ Hard.
- We cannot provide an exact cost estimate for production, as ingredient prices depend on the quantity purchased and the supplier.
