Question

I mixed Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) with Silky Serum Base (ID 498) and observed phase separation and precipitation. Why did this happen, and is Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) incompatible with this base or other pre-made bases like SiliSolve (ID 408), SiliSolve Plus (ID 680), Water-in-Oil EZ (ID 726), and Silky Serum Base Plus (ID 710)?

Answer

Based on the forum discussion, the staff confirmed that Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) caused separation and precipitation when mixed with Silky Serum Base because Tris-Biphenyl Triazine (Nano) is a self-emulsifying ingredient.

It is not compatible with certain pre-made bases or emulsifiers, including:

  • Silky Serum Base (ID 498)
  • SiliSolve (ID 408)
  • SiliSolve Plus (ID 680)
  • Water-in-Oil EZ (ID 726)
  • Silky Serum Base Plus (ID 710)

The staff acknowledged that this information was not clearly stated on the website and offered a refund for the damaged ingredients.
