Question
I want to formulate a product using a ready-made aloe vera gel base for sensitive skin. Can the following ingredients be used together in this base? I am particularly concerned about Salicylic Acid.
- Repair Activator (Bifida Ferment Lysate) 1%
- Cell Energy (Adenosine) 1%
- Active Resveratrol (Resveratrol) 3%
- GlucoBright (N-Acetyl Glucosamine) 2%
- Safe B3 (Niacinamide) 5%
- Salicylic Acid
Answer
Subject: Regarding ingredient compatibility for sensitive skin
Based on the staff's recommendation for sensitive skin, it is advised to remove Salicylic Acid from your formulation.
The other ingredients you listed can generally be used together in the ready-made aloe vera gel base without issues:
- Repair Activator (Bifida Ferment Lysate) 1%
- Cell Energy (Adenosine) 1%
- Active Resveratrol (Resveratrol) 3%
- GlucoBright (N-Acetyl Glucosamine) 2%
- Safe B3 (Niacinamide) 5%
Please note that individual skin reactions can vary, so it's always a good idea to do a patch test before applying the product to your face.
