Question

I have tried using Rosehip Oil to help tighten pores, which worked well, but it did not improve the deep crow's feet wrinkles. I would like to know if there are any formulations or ingredients that can help reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles like crow's feet?

Answer

Addressing Deep Wrinkles (Crow's Feet)

It's great that Rosehip Oil is helping with your pores! Rosehip Oil is excellent for skin texture and hydration, which can indirectly improve the appearance of fine lines, but for deeper wrinkles like crow's feet, you often need ingredients that specifically target collagen production, skin elasticity, or muscle relaxation.

Here are some types of ingredients that are effective for reducing the appearance of deep wrinkles:

  • Peptides: Certain peptides, like Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 (found in Pep®-PP4) and Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2 (found in Pep®-Geline), are known to signal the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, helping to plump the skin and reduce wrinkle depth.
  • Retinoids: Ingredients like Sodium Retinoyl Hyaluronate (found in HyaRetin™) are forms of Vitamin A that are highly effective at promoting cell turnover and stimulating collagen production, significantly improving the appearance of wrinkles over time.
  • Ingredients Supporting Skin Structure: Acetyl-Tyrosine (found in Wrinkle-Fill™) can work synergistically with peptides to support the skin's underlying structure, contributing to reduced wrinkle visibility.
  • Muscle Relaxants: For wrinkles caused by facial expressions, like crow's feet, ingredients that help relax the underlying muscles can be beneficial. Wrinkle-Lax™ is an example of an ingredient designed for this purpose.

Combining ingredients from these categories in a targeted formulation can be much more effective for deep wrinkles than using a single oil like Rosehip Oil, which primarily provides hydration and fatty acids.
