Inquiry about PaeoniaPreserve™: Natural Claim, Scent, and Eye Irritation

Question

I am preparing a formula using 100% natural ingredients. I would like to know:

1. If using `PaeoniaPreserve™` at 2% as a preservative in the formula, can I still claim the product as 100% natural?
2. Or should it be claimed as 98% instead, considering the ingredient might have undergone chemical processes?
3. Does `PaeoniaPreserve™` have a floral scent or a pungent scent, similar to thyme which I found too pungent to use?
4. If used in a facial cleansing formula, will it cause eye irritation?

Answer

Based on the information provided:

  • Natural Claim: PaeoniaPreserve™ is considered a 100% natural extract. If all other ingredients in your formulation are also natural, you can claim the final product as 100% natural.
  • Scent: It has a mild scent compared to other preservatives.
  • Eye Irritation: If used in a facial cleansing product, it can cause eye irritation if it gets into the eyes.
