Essential components like a preservative system and pH adjustment will be included to ensure product stability, safety, and efficacy.

Notification of Added Ingredients: Yes, MySkinRecipe will inform you of the type and quantity of any additional ingredients (Solvent, pH Adjuster, Additives) that have been added to your formula for production. This information will be provided to you for your review and approval before proceeding with manufacturing.

3. Specifying Target pH: You can specify the desired pH value for your formula, such as pH 6.2, in the details or notes section when submitting your custom production order. Our formulation team will then adjust the formula during production to achieve this target pH, using appropriate pH adjusters.

4. Pricing for Added Ingredients: The cost for the added Solvent, pH Adjuster, and Additives will be included in the overall quotation for your custom formulation production. The pricing is based on the specific ingredients selected and their quantities required to complete and stabilize your formula.

Recommended Additions for Your Serum Formulation

Based on the active ingredients you have selected for your light water-based serum aimed at acne prevention, inflammation reduction, and skin barrier strengthening, and your target pH of 6.2, we recommend adding the following essential components:

• Solvent/Humectant: While water will be the primary solvent, adding a humectant like Glycerin is beneficial for skin hydration and can act as a co-solvent for some ingredients. We recommend including Glycerin at a concentration of 5-10%.
• Preservative System: A broad-spectrum preservative system is crucial for preventing microbial growth in a water-based formula. Suitable options that work well within your target pH range of 6.2 include Global Guard™ 221 (recommended usage rate 0.5-1.1%) or Mild Preserved™ COS (recommended usage rate 0.75-1.5%). We will select the most suitable preservative or combination based on the full formula and perform necessary stability and challenge testing.
• pH Adjuster: To achieve your target pH of 6.2, pH adjusters will be needed. Common options include Citric Acid (to lower pH) and Sodium Hydroxide (to raise pH). Sodium Citrate can also be used as a buffer. The exact percentage needed will be determined during the formulation process to reach pH 6.2.
• Purified Water: The remaining percentage of the formula will consist of purified water to bring the total to 100%.

The final formula, including the percentages of all ingredients (your active ingredients + our recommended additions + purified water), will be provided to you for confirmation before production begins.
