Instant Wrinkle Remover Formula: Mixing, White Cast, and Cloudiness
Question
Could you please provide the formula and mixing instructions for an Instant Wrinkle Remover? I am also experiencing issues with white residue appearing after drying and the formula having a cloudy texture instead of being a clear gel. Is it possible to modify the formula or mixing process to prevent the white cast and achieve a clear gel texture?
The formula I am working with is:
- Water 82%
- ClayThick™ 3%
- Propylene Glycol 3%
- Xanthan Gum 0.5%
- InstantLift™ 10.5%
- Mild Preserved Eco 1%
And the mixing steps I followed are:
- Mix Water (82%) + ClayThick™ (3%) + Propylene Glycol (3%).
- Heat the mixture from step 1 to 70°C.
- Blend the heated mixture for 12-15 minutes at a constant speed of 1200 rpm using a Dissolver head.
- Gradually sprinkle Xanthan Gum (0.5%) into the mixture while blending.
- Continue blending for another 5 minutes until the Xanthan Gum is completely dissolved.
- Let the mixture cool down to a temperature not exceeding 40°C.
- Add Mild Preserved Eco (1%) and blend gently to combine.
- Add InstantLift™ (10.5%) to the formula.
- Blend gently at 500 rpm for a short duration of 30-60 seconds to combine all ingredients.

Note: The white residue that may appear after drying is a natural characteristic of this type of formula. There are methods to reduce white residue by adjusting the application technique (you can find more information by searching on Google for "Ageless reduce white cast"). The texture of the formula will be cloudy and cannot be made into a clear gel.
