Question

Based on the information that yellowing indicates degradation of L-ascorbic acid, if my mixture containing L-ascorbic acid has not turned yellow after a few days, does this confirm that the L-ascorbic acid has not degraded and it is safe to add Glutathione now?

Answer

Based on the previous information provided (presumably by the staff), the yellowing of a solution containing L-ascorbic acid is an indicator of its degradation. If your mixture has not turned yellow after a couple of days, it suggests that the Vitamin C has not significantly degraded yet. Therefore, adding Glutathione now should be acceptable.
