Making Alcohol Spray with Tap Water

Question

I want to make a simple `Alcohol` spray. Can I mix it directly with just tap water? Will there be any effects?

Answer

Using tap water to dilute alcohol for a spray is generally not recommended. Tap water contains minerals, chlorine, and other impurities that can reduce the stability and effectiveness of the alcohol over time. While it might work for immediate use, distilled or deionized water is preferred for making alcohol sprays as it is pure and free from contaminants, ensuring better stability and efficacy of the disinfectant.
