  • The original lip balm base formula previously recommended by the staff (Polyethylene Wax, Glossy Wax, Fractionated Coconut Oil) is primarily composed of oils and waxes and does not contain water. Therefore, you cannot directly add water-soluble ingredients to this formula.
  • If you wish to use water-soluble ingredients in a lip balm, you need a base that also contains water. Creating a stable lip balm with both water and oil phases is more complex and typically requires an emulsifier.
  • As the staff previously suggested, you can explore examples of bases that can incorporate water-soluble ingredients, such as Water Balm™.
  • Therefore, you cannot simply reduce the wax or oil components in the original base formula to add the water-soluble Safe-B3™ and WhiteCumin™ 2x. If you want to use the original water-free base formula, you would need to choose oil-soluble active ingredients instead.
