Question

I am making pomade using Paste Maker™. I have a few questions:

  • The previous thread mentioned using a mixer. What type of mixer is needed? Can I make it without a mixer?
  • If I want to make it in other colors like blue, green, or yellow, what should I add?
  • Do I need to add scent? Should I use fragrance oils?

Here are more details regarding your questions about making pomade using Paste Maker™:

  1. Mixing Equipment: For small test quantities, you can mix the ingredients manually by hand. Any stirring device that can effectively blend the formula until uniform can also be used.

  2. Adding Color: To achieve different colors like blue, green, or yellow, you should use water-soluble cosmetic colors. These colors are mixed into the water phase of your formulation. Examples include colors like D&C Green No.5 EasyWash™, FD&C Yellow No.6 EasyWash™, or FD&C Red No.4 EasyWash™.

  3. Adding Scent: Yes, you need to add scent to your pomade. This is typically done using fragrance oils. You can choose from various fragrance oils available to add your desired scent.
